KAWS UPDATE!

im still not done but here is where im at. so i have added drop shadows and started the background of the piece, i am probably going to change the value of the colors in the background because they are taking too much attention from the foreground. tell me what you think so far!

  1. It's really coming along nicely, make sure (as you already noted above) that you've got a good color balance, seems like the color on the left is a little darker in value than the ones comin' out yer nose. Don't forget about some subtle highlights too- use a lighter value of the base color on each of your curvy shapes to create a little more "dimensional" look.

  2. i agree with sweney on all of this. i think the color situation could be fixed by desaturating the bright teal snot. haha. i really dig this so far. srsly.

  3. yeah the inner shadows are still to come. the color situation tho, summer im probably going to change the color of that teal one on the left because there are two similar colors on one side and on the other side there is more variety in color so that is getting changed tomorrow! and yeah the colors are a little darker because they arent suppose to take too much attention from my face and the strands coming out of it, thats my emphasis and i didnt want the background to take too much away from that. But i still have a little time to change little things like that.
